The GRG has an area on Yahoo Groups.

It provides a way of sending and receiving emails sent round the group. It also has a reminder system for the monthly meetings, a chat area, and other features.

Joining the GRG Email List

Here are some simple steps which will take you through joining the email list. Read them through to get an idea of what will happen, before you actually subscribe. It has a number of built in checks to keep out spam emails and non-members, who have posted porn and suchlike in the past. In a perfect world, none of this would be necessary …

Enter your email address into the box above, and click on the “Join Now” button. Once you do this, you should get a response (see below) telling you that an email has been sent to the address you entered.

The email will ask you to click on a link, or send an email, to confirm your subscription. This is a double check – first it ensures you have used the correct email address, and protects us against spammers using bogus addresses.

It’s up to you whether you want full access, or just to receive emails. With full access, you can look at old messages, photos people have uploaded etc. Please enter your real name, address and Ulysses number in the comments box, so I can verify that you are a bona fide GRG member.

Click continue, and you should get a screen like this:

I will then confirm your membership and you are signed up.

To send email to all members of the group use the email address UlyssesGRG@yahoogroups.com and your email will go to all members of the email list.
